Emergency Contraception (Morning-After Pill)

Stay Safe When Things Haven’t Gone To Plan 

If your method of contraception has failed, or you have had unprotected sex, emergency contraception can help you stay protected. As well as missing a day, the effects of sickness, diarrhoea and certain medications can lower the effectiveness of birth control pills and splitting, removal or loss of a condom can also result in the need for the “morning after pill”.

Unlike common preconceptions, the “morning after pill” does not have to be prescribed by a doctor and can be taken up to 72 hours after sex.

Emergency contraception is most effective the sooner it is taken, which is why your safety is our priority. Open at convenient times, we are always staffed by pharmacists able to prescribe emergency contraception on the spot. You can be confident you will receive the appropriate advice and medication in confidence and understanding, in a private consultation room if you require.
